The Y is accepting monetary donations to go directly to help those affected by the Carr Fire. We expect the need for financial assistance for membership, child care and programs to be great, whether short term or long term. Families have had to incur the cost of evacuating, some have damaged homes, some lost homes, others lost jobs. Routines are disrupted, and, for a lot of us, there is a lost sense of security. The Y can help. The Y is a safe place where people can connect and share stories. It's a safe place for kids to play and for adults to exercise. Our teen, child care and child watch programs are led by caring adults who will offer routine and support to our youth. The Y is a place where everyone can take care of themselves spiritually, mentally and physically. With your donation, we can help offset the cost of memberships, child care, teen programming, and other programs that provide some degree of normalcy and security.

The Y has been offering free guest passes to evacuees; we are offering free memberships to anyone who lost their home during the fire, or has been temporarily displace due to repairs; we are hosting a free hourly day camp for families where the parent needs to take care of fire-related chores and business; we have a member communications board where people can post what they need or how they can help with a need; and we have a backpack drive going to help those families who were adversely affected by the fire.  Thank you for your support!
