Aqua Classes Provide Alternative for Exercising

Finding an appropriate aerobic activity can be difficult for individuals who are not use to exercising, especially for those with bad knees or arthritis, or for those who are overweight. High-impact exercises are often painful, making cardio exercise impossible.

But individuals can move forward with their workout routine knowing there are other low-impact options. One of those options is water aerobics. For individuals who haven’t made exercise a priority, water aerobics is a great place to start.

Lifeguard & Other Safety Training

The Y brings people together who want to learn. Whether you want to be a lifeguard or just learn how to save a life, you’ll come together with others from your community who share your interests.

Open and Lap Swim

We are a place where you can find relief from your everyday challenges, and spend time together with friends and family. During our open recreational or lap swim, you'll have a moment to relax and smile.

First Aid Training

In this training you will learn basic first aid which includes treating various common injuries, such as burns and wounds.

Lifeguard Certification

Let the Y help you prepare for a job as a certified lifeguard. Both shallow and deep water course offerings.  Must preregister.  Class fill quickly. 

Lifeguard Training Courses

CPR Course

Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults and also how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants and children under 12.
