May is National Bike Month: Celebrate Biking, Celebrate Good Health

Like most, you probably learned to ride a bike when you were a child. Maybe you still have fond memories of the freedom your two-wheeled transport provided. While some of us continue to make cycling a part of our lives, others can’t remember the last time we rode.

Rowing Classes and Club

Do you want to meet new people, learn a new sport, and improve your strength and endurance? The Y Rowing Club might be for you.  Row with a crew (sweep) or alone (sculling).  The club enjoys time each week on Whiskeytown Lake and occasionally competes in regional regattas.   Give it a try!

Learn to Row Classes for sweep and sculling are available.  Club membership includes use of the boats.

Rowers should bring hat, sunglasses, snack,  drinking water and socks to class. There is no drinking water at the lake.  Wear shoes that you can get wet and tight fitting clothing.  Participants must be water safe.
