PRENATAL YOGA

OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY  |  NO COST TO PARTICIPANTS

Shasta Family YMCA is proud to offer Prenatal Yoga to all expectant moms in our community.  Best of all, classes are FREE to participants thanks to grant support from First 5 Shasta and Dignity Health.  Prenatal Yoga classes are uniquely designed for pregnancy and are taught by a certified instructor.  All stages of pregnancy are welcome. 

Prenatal Yoga helps expectant mothers address the aches and pains of pregnancy, and fosters a supportive community of friendship to help you feel more prepared for labor, delivery, and motherhood:
• Improve sleep
• Promote emotional health through relaxation, mindfulness and visualization
• Increase strength, flexibility, and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
• Reduce hip and lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath
• Improve balance and coordination

What to know before class:
• Arrive 10 minutes early to check in for your first class
• New participants must bring a valid photo ID
• All mats, props, pillows, etc. will be provided in class
• Wear loose comfortable clothing
• Child Watch is available at no cost while you are in class
