Y Preschool
A Day in the Life

Now taking enrollments, expanded due to popular demand.

Dear Diary,

Today Mommy dropped me off at my new preschool. When I got there, I was scared. But Miss Waugh said Good Morning in a big happy voice. She already knew my name even! She asked me to look for my name tag and put it by number 3 on the white board. I only know my name starts with a B and I’m not sure what a B looks like so I didn’t know which one was mine. The teacher said, “That’s okay.” She promised that I would be able to spot my name very soon because we will play zoo games with our letters.

Youth Classes and Sports

Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning to dribble a ball or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.

Y Camps: Child Care, Specialty and Overnight

Overnight, day or specialty camps at the Y share one thing: they’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too.

Adult Sports and Recreation

We believe sports; fun and exploring new interests aren’t just for the young. Along with improving health, whenever teamwork is involved, there’s the added benefit of being connected to others.

Adult and Family Interests

Whether you’re new to the community or simply want to pursue a new hobby, the Y brings together people who love to learn. Whether you want to take parenting classes, join a rowing club, or practice karate — you’ll learn with others who share your interests.

Special Events

Sharing special times with family, friends and the community is what the Y is about. Whether it's taking part in our Healthy Kids Day, joining us for our Halloween Bash or visiting us at Turtle Bay's Walk This Way – you'll meet new people and build special memories.

Chess for the whole family

The Y brings together people who want to learn. Whether you’re new to the game or just want to practice, chess club is for you.  Free.

Kids love the Family Activities Center

Parents can feel great about leaving their children in the Family Activities Center, while they take care of themselves. We offer programs like cooking, art and craft, music, book club or just leave them in the hands of our fabulous volunteers. Where they can play a little foosball, play board games, color their favorite picture or enjoy their favorite book.
