Your support during this uncertain time is more important than ever. As a community you may be aware of the critical work that our Y does every day to serve children, families, and individuals: from preventing summer learning loss for at-risk youth; to ensuring that families have positive spaces to play together; or to teaching kids how to be safe around water and building their swimming skills. The Shasta Family YMCA has been a cornerstone for our local community for almost 75 years!  Because the Y has been a foundation of support in so many ways at so many times, we respond to the needs of the community.

We cannot do what we do alone; we need you beside us. Please consider making a gift to the Shasta Family YMCA to help ensure we have the resources necessary to deliver critically needed programs and services to our communities and neighbors.  We are truly a community organization.

Mission: The Shasta Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) charitable community service organization dedicated to building healthy spirit, mind and body.

Who We Are: As the leading non-profit committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, our Y builds bridges between individuals, families and our community.

Who We Serve: People of all ages and walks of life come together at the Y to find connection and community.  It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are from, or what your walk of life looks like... at the Shasta Family YMCA you are always welcome.

Our Cause: Building Stronger Communities through Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.

Our Challenges: Shasta County ranks 56th of 58 California counties in overall health, with statistics indicating high levels of poverty, low education levels, and high rates of obesity, substance abuse, and suicide.  Shasta County youth suffer from high rates of ACE's and have very high entry rates into the foster care system. Our community includes populations "most at risk of drowning" due to low income and high exposure to open water.  Drowning is still the 2nd leading cause of death for children under age 14.

Our Goal: To give everyone a chance to grow, succeed and be healthy.  Through generous donations to our Financial Assistance program, the Shasta Family YMCA is available to give the opportunity to all who wish to participate in Y programs and health offerings; we turn no one away due to an inability to pay.
