At the Y, we know that getting and staying healthy and happy is not a one-size-fits-all. That is why we are intentional in providing a variety of classes to meet every age, every level, every schedule and every goal, plus provide the support and camaraderie you need. 

Group exercise classes are FREE with your membership unless otherwise indicated.  Please see the group exercise schedule for class times and instructors. Just show up to classes ready to work out; no pre-registration needed unless otherwise noted. Youth 13 years and older are welcome in adult group exercise classes. Please stop by the Member Services Desk for more information.

A high-energy cardio Barre class that combines ballet-inspired movements with cardio exercises.
 
Feb 8: Beyond Pilates with Kathrina | Studio 2
This class blends Pilates, mindfulness, and breathwork. 

Feb 15: Strong Nation with Ariel | Studio 4 
A high-energy workout combining cardio, plyometrics, muscle conditioning, and bodyweight exercises.

Feb 22: Bachata Styling with Sherri | Studio 2
Learn the sensual, romantic Bachata dance with its four-step rhythm and hip movements.

Mind-Body classes consist of deliberate, concentrated movements and postures designed to promote balance and flexibility, tone and strengthen muscles, and align the body. Most often, breathing techniques are also encompassed along with the movements. Classes are ideal for someone looking for a relaxing, quiet routine that helps them release the day, while still having fitness benefits.

Cycling Classes

A cycling class is a high cardio, low-impact workout that relies on an indoor cycling machine. Our fitness instructors will challenge you with multi-level intervals on specialized Stages stationary bikes. Because you set the resistance, every fitness level is welcome. Please bring a hand towel and water bottle with you to class. 

When using the cycle machines for the first time, it’s really crucial to make sure you properly adjust the height of your seat and your bike handles to your own personal setting. Consult the instructor if you are unsure of the proper settings or how to use the bike.

Mixed Strength and Cardio Classes

We know that the best way to ultimate health and well-being is through balanced workouts, thus, we offer classes that include a mix of cardio and strength training intervals. With a variety of styles to choose from and modification levels within each class everyone is ready to participate. 

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is an exercise strategy that alternates short periods of intense exercise movements, followed by less intense, but still active “recovery” periods. Many classes may offer a HIIT component.

Empower yourself with our progressive strength training workouts that can help you lose weight, increase energy and endurance, improve sports performance, and/or reduce your risk of disease. Our strength classes will have you feeling competent and capable. Whether you are using light to moderate weights with high repetition or heavy weights with low repetition, classes will give you a total body workout.

Maintain a physically independent lifestyle and enjoy the benefits of regular exercise with our low-impact classes. These classes are idea for beginning exercisers who want a mild start or for those who need an ongoing gentler, non-jarring pace.

Zumba offers a series of energetic dance routines that provide a great cardio exertion by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning, dance fitness party. 

Rhythmic Energy is an energizing cardio fitness dance class that boosts mood, flexibility, endurance, and muscle tone. Fun choreography to great music!

Anyone who loves to dance and is looking for a fun routine with music-inspired movement would enjoy these type of group exercise classes.

Aqua Classes

Water exercise is for everyone!  Training in the pool is great for an everyday workout, cross-training, recovery days, and injury recovery.  Aqua aerobics is the perfect place to start an exercise program, for prenatal exercise, or those who need low impact. We have classes for increasing endurance and cardio health, some that focus on flexibility and balance, and others, strength and flexibility. Plus, all classes are held in our heated indoor pools.
