The holidays are coming. It is a time to be thankful, joyful and spirited, yet, it can be a stressful time for the family schedule. The Y knows not all parents/guardians get time off when their child(ren) are on school holiday break. The Y partners with families to help fill the gaps and eliminate the stress of "what to do with my child all day".
The Shasta Family YMCA offers day camps for most week-long school breaks. While parents/ guardians are taking care of business, they can be assured their child(ren) are engaged, safe and having fun.
Holiday campers enjoy interactive curriculum that includes holiday-themed games, crafts, activities and more. Campers will learn the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and are cared for by skilled and qualified Y staff. Plus, they will make new friends and have new experiences.
Keeping our community's youth safe and engaged is a priority. We never want the cost of a Y program to be prohibitive from attending. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
Currently, the Y offers camps in Redding, for students K - 8th grades, at two locations. For more detailed information and for registration links, please visit the Y's Holiday Camp web page.
Programs like Holiday Camps cannot be implemented without the help of our sponsors and donors. We call this the Donor Difference. If you are interested in partnering with the Shasta Family YMCA to address the gaps in our community, contact Julie Schroeder, Donor Relations and Development Manager, at 530.246.9622 x126 or [email protected].
