Y Club is a place where budding teenagers can learn, grow, and connect after school. 6th – 12th grade students can come to the Y Club every day after school for tutoring, snacks and meals, social time, and more. It is a safe, welcoming place where participants can get homework help, make new friends, and enjoy activities that keep them engaged and supported until it’s time to head home. In fact, Y Club is so popular, and there is such a need for it, that there were already 100 youth registered by the start of school this year.

Do you have a passion for youth learn and grow? The Shasta Family YMCA is looking for caring volunteers to be a Homework Tutor, helping just two hours on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon. We’re especially looking for retired teachers, college students, or anyone with tutoring experience who would enjoy supporting our youth with their homework and academic skills in a positive, encouraging environment. Your time can make a huge difference—helping build confidence, understanding, and success in the classroom.

If you’d like to learn more about volunteering or get more details on registering your youth in Y Club, please contact Larry Maloney at [email protected]

Let’s all work together to inspire learning, grow impactful adults, and empower our future leaders!
